A lush garden. Elegant wooden furniture. A chic neutral palette. Sounds like the making of a dreamy wedding! Hosted at The Cordelle, Claire and Austin’s modern rustic wedding was simple yet oh-so chic. From the timeless decorations to the modern color scheme, it was a gorgeous celebration. One sure to inspired many brides! Take a look at the details from their day, including how they incorporated our stylish rustic event rentals.

A Garden Ceremony

Firstly, the pair’s vow exchange took place in the lush garden, surrounded by manicured hedges and towering trees. It was a warm but overcast day, ideal for the outdoor celebration. Guests sat facing a breathtaking, white floral backdrop. Seating was simple; clean rows of our ever-popular Cross-Back Chairs including cushions to ensure guests sat comfortably. Our Harlin Dining Chairs are an equally gorgeous alternative we’d recommend paired with candles in Davis Glass Cylinders for aisle decor.

Simple Cocktail Hour

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour hosted on the patio as the garden flipped from the ceremony to the reception setup. The bar staff prepared bubbly in classic champagne glasses. For an especially impressive display, consider displaying champagne or a cocktail of choice using our Fruitwood Champagne Shelf. Our bistro tables with luxe linens paired with our stylish bar stools are a great way to hold over guests until they can be led to their dinner tables.

Elegant Wood Banquet Tables

Our favorite design, by far, was the reception tables! Claire and Austin desired an intimate vibe for their dinner, opting for banquet tables. Set up side by side, our Fruitwood Farm Tables looked stunning and sat dozens comfortably, and to complement the modern rustic wedding colors, place settings were simple. Consisting of white round dinner plates, Abby Flatware, and Carly Water Goblets. If you prefer a subtle pop of color, take a look at our luxe napkins! Lush garlands made of bright greenery were the perfect modern rustic centerpieces. As the sun went down, the overhead bistro lights came on, casting a warm glow on the party below. It was a beautiful gathering and our team felt honored to be a part of it.

You don’t have to host a huge celebration in order to incorporate a ‘wow’ factor. Our Barback Shelves are a simple addition that will uplevel any event. It is a fun way to greet your guests with appetizers or a cocktail, as seen with this popsicle champagne wall. Or, they can visit it later, to find a sweet treat or dessert. This year’s A Very Marry Occasion wedding showcase at CJ’s Off the Square was a gorgeous success! We’re still swooning over all the opulent details, from our gorgeous white furniture to the lush floral magic from Enchanted Florist. We set the scene for an upscale outdoor garden reception with our White-Washed farm tables, Vienna Couch (covered in our ivory slipcovers),  assorted pillows, Lilac Fairmont Runners, Belmont Chargers and Abby Fine Silver Flatware. Guests for the open house mingled at our Jackson Silver Pedestal Bistro Tables. Our Willow Cake Plateau made a sweet dessert display in the cake room. All in all, it was a fantastic showcase thanks to the careful planning and creative vision of CJ Dickson. The event has been featured on Wedding Chicks and Ruffled!

Color, whimsy and fun collided beautifully in this style shoot at CJ’s Off the Square, featuring a fun kite theme! A talented local Nashville photography company, The Collection, captured the look and feel of this theme in CJ’s gorgeous garden wedding venue, located in Historic Downtown Franklin.

Some of our favorite rentals featured in this shoot were our White Chiavari Chairs that have a color and texture that works flawlessly with an outdoor garden venue like CJ’s. We also featured our Mini White Wash Farm Table and White Poly Stripe Linens.

For this shoot, an entertaining mix of rich golden yellows, royal purple and teal were used to capture the vibrancy of the whimsical theme. Our favorite part of the event decor was the hanging kite decoration, featuring swirling ribbon and even a few miniature kites handcrafted by planner Anna of Anna Elizabeth Weddings. For the tablescape, our Royal White Square China set off the symmetry of the kite lines ribbon found throughout the event set up! For added texture, we loved the striped paper straws and ribbon wrapped around each cake tier.

CJ’s Off the Square is located just walking distance away from historic downtown Franklin, one of Tennessee’s oldest and most historically rich and beautiful areas. Our time with CJ’s started when we had our original showroom located upstairs in the historic home- and what a fun and bustling place to work it was! Even though Southern Events has moved into a new location, our relationship with CJ’s has continued as we provide the venue with all of their chair, linen, place setting and and decor rental needs. We love working with CJ’s and always feel that our rentals work naturally with the available space in this historic home and gardens.

CJ, Amy and the rest of the staff make excellent use of the interior home, exterior gardens and pavilion that have been restored to preserve all the historic beauty created when the home was originally built in 1911. Featuring a koi pond, the gardens boast a wide array of flowers and greenery along with a gazebo as a ceremony space, while the covered pavilion comfortably seats up to 135 guests. For all pre-wedding activities, a quick trip down the stairs to the wine cellar reveals a fully functional retreat for the groom and groomsmen with large screen TVs, poker table and bar area, while the bridal suite located upstairs is breathtaking, chic and luxurious. This venue has a wide array of packages to fit many different needs from weddings and beyond, and frequently hosts social parties and rehearsal dinners. From event planning to invitations to day of assisting, CJ’s staff is not only full-service, but has many years of experience in the industry.
