In 2022 we brought a lot of trends to fruition, from micro-weddings and backyard gatherings, to boho and retro-inspired rentals, as well as neutral and earth-toned color palettes. But now it’s time to look to the future! Today we’re going to take a look at some of the anticipated 2022 event trends, so that you can start planning your best gathering yet.

Bridgerton-Inspired Design

We saw a snippet of this trend in 2021, with opulent garden parties. But in 2022, we’re taking it to the next level with set ups inspired by the hit series Bridgerton, also known as Cottagecore. For this event style, we’re expecting pastel-rich color palettes, luxe textures, and vintage-inspired furniture.

Start with memorable tablescapes, featuring unique colors and fun rentals. For example, our Fern or Sea Glass velvet linens, or more decade appropriate Blue Kensington print. Top them off with our mismatched Heirloom China, or break up all the prints with our dainty Darcy China. The best choice for flatware is our versatile Abby or Sophia flatware. Finally, incorporate a splash of texture with our Green or Amber Goblets.

If you’re hosting an accurate event, then you’ll also need an equally impressive cocktail hour setup – high-society gatherings were all about mingling! Sequel Weddings!

Due to a large number of couples postponing their nuptials in 2021, sequel weddings will be a hit in 2022. That is, a big party following an intimate ceremony. Which can also be used following a vow renewal, or any type of post-pandemic celebration. These events will be focused on living in the moment, so they don’t have to be luxe – but they can be!

At these events, we’ll want to help create a small and cozy feel, which can be achieved with soft textures and warm colors. Think earthy, natural tones, like Terra Cotta or Rust. Pastels are a growing trend in event design this year. If you watched the Oscars, you know it (we are still swooning over Maya Rudolph’s glorious pink gown – among other amazing looks). Pastels were everywhere. Bonus: This trend incorporates itself beautifully in weddings and events. You can make this color scheme work with whichever various themes you’re going for. Classic? Of course. How about “garden charm”, or Southern, or “rustic glam”… yep, you can do that, too! 2019’s Pantone Color of the Year is Living Coral, and we have all the heart-eyes for this color! There are tons of ways to go about incorporating Living Coral: sweet, feminine, classy, Southern…the ideas go on and on. Here, we are in love with how the spunky color combination of teal and coral can evoke both glam as well as fun vibes. If you’re looking to incorporate 2019’s Pantone Color of the Year – Living Coral – we think this is a fabulous way to do it. We adore how the color pops up in a myriad of ways at this Spring Tasting Event at CJs off the Square (even down to the adorable cocktail).

This glam and fun theme incorporates gold, mismatched and detailed dinnerware, and our swoon-worthy Farrah Teal Velvet Chair. The teal color woven through the theme takes the coral to a new level. The Tessa Tufted Beige Loveseat just had to be part of this look, with the glam and fun lines on the piece calling out to be included in this Coral shin-dig.

Poppies and other coral floral designs–along with coral linens–accented the event, assisting the teal and coral theme in adding to the glam and fun vibes.

Our Nashville event rentals were on display at our most recent styled shoot at Nashville’s White Dove Barn, where we dreamed up a boho fall wedding design with some amazing vendor friends!

The scene was set perfectly for our Fall-inspired boho wedding style shoot with Harlin Dining Chairs bringing natural wood to a beautiful white canvas. Our Bennett Leather Sofa was paired with the London Love Seat and Winstead Grey Tufted Bench for an impeccably chic style.

The elegant boho fall wedding tablescape started with charcoal gray linens, where Pure Glassware added striking cleaning lines next to the whimsical centerpiece by the amazing Kennedy Occasions and Feather and Oak Tennessee. Peachy-taupe taper candles from Creative Candles added a bit of romance, while our Carerra Marble Dinner Plates and gold Austin Flatware pulled the gold and gray accents together for a perfect design.
