Outside Events

If you’re looking for catering equipment for an outside event, there are so many things to consider. Inclement weather – will it rain, be super hot, super sunny? Bugs – how can you protect the food you’ve worked so hard to create from getting ruined by flies and the like? Location – will it be in the middle of a field? How will you get the food and equipment to the location? Southern Events has rentals to solve all of these problems. Pop-Up Tents to protect from sun and rain, Plate Covers to protect the food, Trash Cans for waste, Banquet Tables with Risers for prep and Coolers to keep food.

Food Safety and Prep

When catering, you want the food to taste just as good when the guests eat it as it did the second it was finished cooking or baking.  You also want to keep in mind food-safety concerns. How long can your meal sit out at room temperature? We have rentals such as Chafing Dishes, Tray Stands, Hot Boxes and Banquet Tables with Risers to help you pull all of this off! When it comes to catering, much of the time you’re prepping food up until the very end! We have rentals for the prep process as well.

We were delighted to work with the team at Double Creek Farms in beautiful Culleoka, TN to create this gorgeous, gothic rustic wedding inspiration. Mood elegance with chic rustic details is a favorite wedding trend and the warm wood walls and soaring arched ceilings of this gorgeous wedding venue south of Nashville provided the perfect backdrop.

Lush greenery wove through gold and marble accents, including our Carrera Marble Dinner Plates. Each color set off perfectly against white washed farm tables and soft blush linens. This moody, dramatic design with a rustic twist is perfect for upcoming fall weddings or winter celebrations and parties.

For our table settings, we paired our popular Austin Flatware and the gorgeous Carrera Marble Dinner Plates with our glass Belmont Charger and Pure Glassware. The result was a mix of modern wedding design with stunning vintage elegance! Subtle color from our Wedgewood Poly and Blush Shimmer linens completed the event design white gold geometric accents like our Gold Metal Sphere added sparkle to the tablescape.

Floral Printed Dance Floor

An inspirational dance floor really elevates the entire look of an event – when the design is coordinated from top to literally bottom, it stands out in a marvelous way! The new Floral Printed Dance Floor features oversize prints in various corners of the dance floor. Peonies in a barely-there pink are featured, allows the elegance to carry over from dinner to dancing. We loved it at the Heritage Ball 2017 as an entry into the main space – the striking and romantic design had guests swooning!

We are always so excited to be a part of A Very Marry Occasion, where Nashville’s top wedding vendors come together for a truly stunning style showcase. The theme was Organic Luxe and CJ’s Off the Square was the perfect venue – the outdoor garden space lends itself perfectly to being both organic and luxe with ease! Here’s how we made it all happen:

Cross-back Chairs in natural wood were paired with the Grayson Farm Tables for a stunning dining design. To add more luxe, our Hob Nob Glassware collection was on full display with both the water goblet and the wine glass giving a vintage vibe without being too whimsical. All this combined with our Abby Fine Silver flatware and a gorgeous Mediterranean Satin Linen made for a stunning styled tablescape, only to be enhanced even more by the stunning floral centerpieces by Enchanted Florist – swoon!

To mix up the seating arrangements, our 65″ Round Farm Table was incorporated into the floor plan, opposite of the sweetheart table. Speaking of the sweetheart table, a mini White-Wash Farm Table was used with our Tessa Tufted Loveseat – the perfect way for a bride and groom to enjoy their first married meal together. Our feminine Darcy Bone China next to the Hob Knob glassware and Gatsby Champagne Coupe were the perfect touches to the tablescape, adding more elegance to an already luxe design.

In the garden area, we incorporated the Farm Style Bistro Tables for easy but stylish mingling. We love when couples opt to keep the decor all in the family – the various farm style tables are beautiful together, yet purposefully unique enough to not look too uniform.

Also in the garden, we made sure to provide comfortable outdoor seating by bringing in our Sutton Furniture Collection. The Mediterranean color was the perfect way to tie in those blue linens on the dining table, keeping every part of the decor and theme beautifully cohesive. The Enchanted Florist helped elevate our rentals again by placing thoughtful low arrangements on the furniture, bringing out the colors of the gorgeous garden and the Organic Luxe theme itself.
