As the crisp autumn air settles in and the leaves begin to turn shades of gold, CJ’s Off the Square in Franklin, Tennessee, becomes a magical setting for an intimate fall wedding. One such celebration, styled in rich tones of emerald and amber, perfectly captured the season’s essence. From a romantic garden ceremony to a cozy reception, every detail was thoughtfully curated with pieces from Southern Event Rental.

A Cozy Bohemian Garden Ceremony

The newlyweds exchanged vows on the patio beneath a floral arch constructed with lush greenery and bold florals. Guests sat in our classic fruitwood folding chairs, offering a rustic touch. For an equally stunning alternative, our wood cross-back chairs would have been an excellent option. The aisle was thoughtfully decorated with a collection of layered vintage rugs. Each one lent its own charm and texture to the scene, along with a splash of color. The result? A ceremony that felt as intimate and personal as it was beautiful.

Bourbon Tasting & Cozy Lounges

As the ceremony concluded, guests were invited to a cocktail hour that featured two distinctly styled bar areas. The first showcased our elegant Thompson White Bar, dressed up with a custom banner bar sign. Signature cocktails were served up in a mix of colorful beaded tumblers and our crystal Moncaco glassware—perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to every sip.

The second bar, crafted from whiskey barrels, catered to the couple’s love of bourbon. Paired with a sleek black bookcase displaying an impressive selection of bourbons and shot glasses. A simple setup that created a stylish tasting experience. Nearby, a cozy lounge area awaited guests, complete with our Bennett Leather Sofa and a pair of Gloria Velvet Armchairs. To keep the evening chill at bay, our hammered rectangle fire pit was a must, ensuring comfort as the sun set and the festivities continued.

Eclectic Elegance in Emerald and Amber

The reception was a stunning mix of textures and colors, creating a cozy yet eclectic atmosphere that perfectly suited the season. Mismatched tables brought an element of surprise and charm. With round tables dressed in luxurious emerald velvet linens that contrasted beautifully with our bare fruitwood banquet tables. Meanwhile, textured bohemian-inspired centerpieces added depth and interest.

The place settings were a true showstopper: Black Rim Glass Chargers provided a sleek foundation, while Onyx Earthen China added a modern, earthy feel. Brushed Copper Flatware brought in a warm metallic element. And our Kennedy Ivory Napkins offered a soft, refined finish. Together, these elements created a dining experience that was as visually appealing as it was inviting.

Emerald and gold speaks to opulence and set the tone for the event design at the 13th Annual Rutherford Society Gala. A black-tie affair, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville in southeast Murfreesboro was transformed into an elegant affair. A mix of vibrant and deep greens, white furniture and golden accents made for a luxurious setting.

It is easy to take emerald and gold event design and end up over the top. With beautiful but simple pieces, a chic and functional space is possible. Alongside a pleasing aesthetic our aim is to eliminate any feelings of claustrophobia. It is a cocktail hour after all! The elegant layout and grandeur spilled over to the main ballroom for a 3-course meal.
