Is there a more perfect space to hold a vintage styled shoot than the nearly 200-year-old Homestead Manor in Franklin, Tennessee? The historic estate-turned-beautiful venue set the scene for a southern gothic styled shoot with SheHeWe Photography. A mix of our classic favorites and newer rentals completed the look. We paired our Grayson Farm Tables with our vintage Constance Chairs for an upscale antique tablescape. For the place settings, we mixed our Artisan China and Hamlet & Ophelia Gold-Rimmed China Collections. Our Austin Gold flatware added a modern touch to keep the look from feeling dated. Our Grey Goose Linen Runner and Iridescent Ivory Luxe Designer napkins added luxe texture. Our model couple relaxed on our Santorini Love Seat paired with our vintage Francis Coffee Table for an upscale outdoor lounge. Our Emilie Secretary Desk created a sweet sign-in table at the ceremony, where we used our Crossback Chairs for seating.

Southern Events was delighted to contribute to the 43rd annual Heritage Ball at the Eastern Flank Battlefield Park in Franklin this September. The Heritage Ball is the historic city’s longest-running black-tie event, and underscores the Heritage Foundation‘s efforts to preserve the architectural, geographic and cultural heritage of Franklin and Williamson County. The theme for this year’s gala came from a visit by the event chair to NYC – she was inspired by the simple refinement of an upscale New York restaurant. A monochromatic color palette of white & gray mixed with metallic accents and architectural decor created an elegantly chic space to raise funds and celebrate for the 700 plus guests in attendance.

The event featured a wide range of inventory items including our Mercer Lounge Furniture, Ghost Chairs & Barstools, Gold & Nickel Grey Velour Benches, London Loveseat, Eiffel Chairs, Conga Gold Drum Side Tables, Black Franklin Bars, White Silver Leaf & Granite Grey Shantung Linens, Darcy Bone China, Abby Flatware, Madison Glassware, Gold Chiavari Chairs, and both our Black & White Dance Floor as ell as our New England Plank Dance Floor.

When Nashville’s top wedding planners gather, one would expect a stylish setting.  The recent meeting of the Nashville Wedding Planners Group at the new Sycamore Farms gave them a stylish setting and an equal stylish table to dine.  Our Grey Goose Linens were set with our Darcy China, Hob Nob Glassware and Gold Austin Flatware creating a feminine tablescape that felt relaxed and on trend.  Tall arrangements of greenery and white & blush blooms from Owsley Designs made for easy conversation. We love this look for a ladies luncheon, daytime wedding, shower or dinner party.

Sycamore Farms is located in Arrington, TN on 28 Acres.  It features the gorgeous hall show below (check out that chandelier!) and lots of outdoor spaces to set up bars, lounges or take unique pictures. Thanks to Kristin Sweeting for the beautiful photos!

We’re delighted to share photos from this southern boho styled shoot at The Foundry, captured by photographers Nyk + Cali. The free-spirited, down-to-earth design featured our Fruitwood Rustic Benches for the ceremony, and our Fruitwood Farm Tables for the reception. For the tablescape, we used our Effie Ivory lace runner, paired with a mix of our Heirloom China, and Abby Fine Silver Flatware.

Finally! We’re so excited to share a full recap of our gorgeous Urban Desert styled shoot at Acme Feed & Seed. In case you missed our Inspiration Board post last week, this shoot was inspired by the southwest. We mixed some of our most popular pieces (like our Fruitwood Farm Tables and Crossback Chairs) with some hidden gems in our Vintage Prop Shoppe (like our Marrakesh Screen, Sylvia Buffet Table, Ramona Couch, and Marjorie Vintage Coffee Table), for an eclectic, urban style.

The styled shoot featured four setups: a lounge, ceremony, reception, and dessert display. The lounge matched patterned textiles and vintage furniture with more bold florals. For the tablescape we arranged the Fruitwood Farm Tables in a chevron pattern, with lace runners layered beneath the place settings. Deep turquoise napkins and stacks of vintage books added a pops of color. We worked with a team of talented vendors, including Bright Event Productions, Enchanted Florist, Designs in Paper and Dulce Desserts. Castilleja Nashville (located in Edgehill Village) donated vibrant accessories, like the serape blankets and rugs, to complete the look! It was a true oasis of color and texture.

The styled shoot also turned into a surprise proposal for our model couple, Magen and Lyndi. When we invited them to model for the shoot, Magen asked if she could use the day as an opportunity to pop the question to her girlfriend Lyndi. Through skillful coordination and lots of secret-keeping, the plan was a success! The two got engaged between photo sessions on the Acme rooftop, surrounded by their friends and family. Such a sweet moment! You can see photos of the proposal in our feature on 100 Layer Cake.

Our styled shoot at ACME Feed & Seed was a gorgeous success. It was a great example of some smart ways to personalize pieces from our Vintage Prop Shoppe, from the storybooks to the antique Marrakesh Screen.

The Marrakesh Screen looks absolutely gorgeous draped in florals from Enchanted Florist! It works well as a backdrop to the lounge, but it also make a great backdrop for a ceremony altar.

Our storybook from the Vintage Prop Shoppe can add an eclectic pop of color to your tablescape or as an accent in a lounge setting.

This macrame banner was donated to the style shoot by Castelleja Nashville, but it was a unique way to personalize our Franklin bar, which lifts at the top to hang banners or garlands for a personalized touch.

This wedding showcase at Homestead Manor was a southern stunner! Our tablescape took center stage in the event barn, with a Grey Goose Runner, Cerise Kensington Napkins, Cameron Silver Flatware, Artisan China, and Madison Glassware. The gorgeous floral garlands and centerpieces from Enchanted Florist made the look complete! Our Wyatt Cake Stands and White Square Tabletop Lanterns were used for the sweet desert display. Our new Sutton Furniture in Mediterranean Blue was used to create a relaxed yet upscale lounge for guests to enjoy the September evening.

This year’s A Very Marry Occasion wedding showcase at CJ’s Off the Square was a gorgeous success! We’re still swooning over all the opulent details, from our gorgeous white furniture to the lush floral magic from Enchanted Florist. We set the scene for an upscale outdoor garden reception with our White-Washed farm tables, Vienna Couch (covered in our ivory slipcovers),  assorted pillows, Lilac Fairmont Runners, Belmont Chargers and Abby Fine Silver Flatware. Guests for the open house mingled at our Jackson Silver Pedestal Bistro Tables. Our Willow Cake Plateau made a sweet dessert display in the cake room. All in all, it was a fantastic showcase thanks to the careful planning and creative vision of CJ Dickson. The event has been featured on Wedding Chicks and Ruffled!
