In Style: Blue-Hued Winter Wonderland Parties

Southern Events Products, Trends and Inspiration

outdoor event lounge

Winter wonderland parties never go out of style. With wintry white tones, layered candlelight, and plenty of sparkle, they capture the season’s most magical qualities. The goal is to recreate that first-snow feeling—crisp, glowing, and a little nostalgic—and bring it indoors. With the right mix of blue party rentals, luxe linens, and icy tabletop accents, you can design a cold-weather celebration that still feels warm and inviting. Below, we’re sharing ideas for creating your own blue-hued winter wonderland using pieces from our collection that are ready to reserve.

Elegant Ice-Inspired Serving Ware

Let’s start with the table. The right place setting is what takes your dinner or cocktail service from casual to cinematic. For that “frosted” winter feel, we love silver-accented serving ware, which instantly reads upscale and seasonal. Try a Glass Charger with Silver Rim or a Silver Round Lacquer Charger as your base. Layer with White Round China for a clean, classic look, or choose Earthen Alabaster China for something softer and more organic.

If you want something a little more dramatic, the Carrera Marble Dinner Plates bring in a luxe stone detail. For a moodier spin, Earthen Onyx China paired with Noir Matte Black Flatware feels modern and editorial without sacrificing warmth.

Glassware should feel intentional but not distracting. Stick with clean, clear silhouettes and let them catch the light. We love the quirky profile of the Cybil Champagne Flutes for toasts, and the vintage-inspired shape of the Monaco Water Goblets for water or mocktails. Together, they photograph beautifully without overwhelming the table.

Luxe Linens & Seating

Your linens do a lot of heavy lifting for both color and mood. We stock a wide range of luxurious linens in multiple shades of blue, so you can take your event in a few different directions.

For a chic, modern winter palette, lean into brighter icy tones like Ice Blue Poly or Heritage Light Blue. These lighter hues reflect candlelight and feel crisp, airy, and celebratory. If you want something cozier and a little more dramatic, choose deep blue velvet. A classic Navy Blue or cool London Fog velvet table linen instantly adds depth and softness, perfect for evening holiday gatherings or winter cocktail parties. And do not forget napkins—they are one of the easiest ways to bring in texture or an accent tone.

Seating is part of the overall story, not an afterthought. For a playful, retro-inspired setup, pair bright cocktail tables with Mid-Century White Barstools. For a dinner that leans more romantic and polished, our Antique White Bentwood Chairs feel graceful and timeless. We’re also big fans of the Acrylic Ghost Armless Chairs. Under cool-toned lighting, they give off the effect of sculpted ice (without sacrificing comfort), and they work seamlessly with a frosty blue palette.

Cozy Winter Lounge Areas

Start with an anchor piece like a plush sofa or loveseat. The Henley Grey Velvet Tufted Sofa is a favorite because it balances drama and comfort. From there, build out the seating with stylish chairs that complement the palette. Sleek Acrylic Fantasma Side Chairs bring in that icy, modern edge, while the retro White Eiffel Arm Chair adds a little mid-century personality.

No lounge is complete without surfaces. Guests need a place to set a champagne coupe or a small plate of hors d’oeuvres! The Echo Mirror Side Table brings in a reflective silver finish that ties in beautifully with a winter wonderland look, while the Wood Distressed Side Table grounds the space with a more natural, fireside feel.

Soft details are the final touch: layered rugs, faux fur throws, and low lighting add warmth in a way that keeps everything from feeling too icy or too formal. This is also where you can play with metallics, glass, and candlelight to make the whole space glow.

The difference is usually in the details. And lately, it’s been pillows ✨

They’re one of the easiest ways to shift a lounge without reworking the whole setup. Add color, bring in texture, or tie everything back to the rest of the event. Take a look at our new collection of stunning pillows that will make your next event extra cozy!

Wood on wood… but make it fresh 🤍

At Cedarmont Farm, the setting already brings all the warmth. Wood tables, wood chairs, the whole space working in the same tone. Add crisp white linens and suddenly it feels lighter, brighter, and a little more modern without losing the charm.

Green on green done right doesn’t blend in. It builds.

Different shades, different textures, a little pattern mixed in. Wood tones to ground it, florals to soften it, and tableware that keeps it all feeling polished 💚

Skip the bar backup. Grab-and-go champagne is a quick way to get the first round in guests' hands and prevent a huge line from forming at the start of the reception 🥂🍾

Spring doesn’t always have to mean bright and airy 🕯️

Blush and ivory in a dim, candlelit setting feels completely different. Softer, a little moodier, and honestly a bit more relaxed once the night gets going.

Reminder: Corporate lounges don’t have to feel… corporate 😍 When the seating feels relaxed, people actually use it. Conversations last longer, small groups form naturally, and it gives guests a place to land that isn’t tied to a schedule

Ashley and Greg’s wedding at Trinity View Farm leaned into a quiet luxury aesthetic — soft neutrals, natural textures, and a barn setting that did a lot of the heavy lifting. Nothing overdone. Just thoughtful choices that came together in a way that felt effortless and elevated.

It’s a good reminder that when your palette, materials, and setting are in sync, the entire day flows a little more naturally.

Sometimes the layout matters more than the layers! 🌲 This event was all about pulling people in. Wooded setting, benches around the fire, tables connected in one long spiral so everyone’s part of the same conversation. Nothing overly styled, just wood textures, a few pops of orange, and a layout that does most of the work.
