The holiday season is just around the corner, so of course we’re obsessing over seasonal trends! If you’re planning a holiday party or a winter-themed wedding it can be tough to decide how to decorate without being too cliché. We once again find ourselves asking the all-important question of the holiday season: how to create a beautiful celebration setting without defaulting to the overused reds and greens? This year we’re seeing a lovely toward choosing between warm and cool tones. Rather than getting tied down to a color scheme, choosing a warm tone reminiscent of a twinkle-lit tree or cozy fireplace, or a cool tone reminiscent of a starry winter’s night, does a lot more to capture the essence of the holiday season.

Whether you’re choosing a warm or cool tone, the common denominator is the same: lots of whites, neutrals, and metallics, with a festive splash of color. The design is in the details – choosing which chargers, glassware, and linens you prefer go a long way toward achieving the right look.

Remember this fun winter wonderland wedding styleshoot from last season? Indoors it was all cool tones, with our mercury glass and silver linens taking center stage to create an icy elegance.

Outside it was cheery tones, with our farm tables and coral linens to warm up the coldest noses.

This Narnia-styled shoot we did last year is another great example of a cool-toned winter wedding. Our Belmont chargers, the ssorted mercury glass, and silver candelabras contrasted beautifully with our farm tables and espresso-colored linens, creating a beautiful and cool rustic winter scene.

Tess and Rene’s spring wedding was held at a favorite Franklin venue of ours – CJ’s Off the Square.  The couple highlighted the historic elegance of this event space, using Black Pintuck Linens, our Belmont Charger and Chevron Napkin.  Belle Fleurs really highlighted the garden setting with gorgeous white floral arrangements of anemones, hydrangea and peonies.  Sophisticated and classic – we really love the timeless look for this garden wedding.

Kelly and Melissa’s wedding day oozed of causal elegance – from the urban rustic setting to the ample candlelight, their Nashville wedding is one of recent favorites. It was full of Southern details like Mason Jars and Farm Tables as well as personal details (love the ‘wishes’ cards as each place setting!).  Jessica Sloane styled and planned the event flawlessly, helping the couple create a rich and warm space to celebrate.

With the ladies from Modern Vintage Events and photographer Jenna Henderson approached us about today’s wine-inspired vision, we knew this style shoot would overflow with rich details and gorgeousness.  Who doesn’t want to be a part of that?!  The newer  was the backdrop for the day.  Located in Murfreesboro, the surrounding woods were perfect for an intimate Tuscan table setting. While we provided our Artisan China, Abby Flatware, Madison Glassware and Cross-back Chairs, the farm tables belong to Wren’s Nest – though we could easily use ours to recreate this look at your venue of choice!

Featured on the wedding blog, Grey Likes Weddings , it was really fun to be pulled into another great team of Nashville event professionals.  Hope you enjoy!

Last year’s NotWedding in Nashville a hipster vintage vibe , while this year’s decor took a softer and more romantic turn.  The theme was ‘down to earth’ and the vendor team pulled off another stunner full of gorgeous details and loads of earthy elegance.  Hosted again at Cannery Ballroom, Black Chiavari Chairs were used for the ceremony – with a stunning floral focal point, the space had a cool, industrial feel.  The reception used more natural elements with a variety of centerpieces as well as our Oatmeal Linens, White Wooden Folding Chairs and Artisan China.  Two of the three wedding cakes on display rested atop our Gold Windsor and Round Fruitwood Cake Plateaus.  Plenty to inspired earthy, boho brides and grooms!

How about a little gold, coral and pink event inspiration?  We have it at its best from an event hosted CJ’s Off the Square earlier this year – A Very Marry Occasion, Southern Wedding and Event Style Showcase.  White Wash Farm Tables, Gold Chiavari Chairs and Chargers, Glassware and Abby Flatware as well as our new Jackson Silver Pedestal Tables were all featured in a gorgeous design, created exclusively for the showcase (one of the many perks of working with CJ’s Off the Square – their awesome team of designers and planners!).  For all you brides out there wanting Southern and chic – this how you do it!

We really had a awesome team behind the event – Enchanted Florist provided the vibrant and gorgeous flowers, Main Event Productions added delicious food while Premier DJs of Nashville added a subtle soundtrack to the whole event.  Amy Nicole Photography captured the event beautifully in her photos below – we simply love her take on all the luscious details!  It was a thrill helping the team bring such an inspiring design to life and we hope you enjoy!

Jena and Trent’s daytime wedding was a fun and festive occasion where C-O-L-O-R was practically a guest of honor!  Hosted at the Governors Club in Nashville, the bride happens to be the younger sister of Nashville wedding planner Emily Kennedy of Kennedy Occasions.  Together they designed the hyper-color theme and created many of the fun wedding details (including the pinwheel backdrop and ribbon chandeliers).  Our Fruitwood Farm Tables, Cross-back Chairs, Rustic Benches and Gold Chargers can all be seen below for the electric and stunning design!

Krista Lee Photography shared her gorgeous pictures from the festive day with us – and we went the only one that thought they were splendid.  The colorful wedding was feature on Wedding Chicks blog, too – you can see that post here.  Congrats to the happy couple!

Navy, gold and coral all combine for today’s engagement party inspiration – that and dreamy vintage details. Designed by style and lifestyle maven Amber Housley, the event has a decidedly elegant feel while still feeling relaxed and welcoming.  Our White Washed Farm Tables paired with Cross-Back Chairs were set with our Belmont Charger, Heirloom Vintage China, Hammered Flatware and Vintage Gold Lanterns. You can also spot our new Gold Windsor Cake Plateau serving double duty as buffet display while our Eloise Vanity Dresser served as a set for sweets.

The intimate and urban space at Events @1418 was a fun backdrop for this Nashville party and the stunning photos are courtesy of Nashville photography duo, Psalm27 Creative.  We weren’t the only ones to think this style shoot was special. Desiree Hartsock (yes, the one of The Bachlorette frame) featured this on her blog – Your can see more pictures from this stunning event there. We created this special look for the Nashville chapter of ISES – their monthly meeting of wedding and event professionals was held at Riverwood Mansion and it gave Southern Events a great excuse to show off some of our newest rental items.  For this event we wanted to create a modern expression of shabby chic.  Vintage furniture, textured florals and an mostly ivory and white color palette was stunning against the lush greenery that surrounds the venue.  You will spy our new Artisan China, Jackson Silver Pedestal Bistro Table and Pearlie Side Chair as well as some old favorites like our Vienna Couch (with her ivory slipcover), White Wash Farm Tables, Cross-back Chairs, Wooden Chargers and various vintage goodies.  Romantic and and relaxed it was a beautiful setting to spend an evening mingling with our fellow industry friends.
