In September, Southern Events had the pleasure of contributing to the 42nd annual Heritage Ball in Franklin. In support of this historic foundation, the planning committee went with a historic theme of Rhapsody in Blue, inspired by George Gershwin’s jazz age classic. It was perfect for the Franklin’s longest running black-tie gala, creating a rich, upscale look for guests to enjoy. This event style, with it’s color palette of sapphire blue, gold and white, is great inspiration for a winter event, whether it’s another gala, corporate event, or wedding.

This year’s A Very Marry Occasion wedding showcase at CJ’s Off the Square was a gorgeous success! We’re still swooning over all the opulent details, from our gorgeous white furniture to the lush floral magic from Enchanted Florist. We set the scene for an upscale outdoor garden reception with our White-Washed farm tables, Vienna Couch (covered in our ivory slipcovers),  assorted pillows, Lilac Fairmont Runners, Belmont Chargers and Abby Fine Silver Flatware. Guests for the open house mingled at our Jackson Silver Pedestal Bistro Tables. Our Willow Cake Plateau made a sweet dessert display in the cake room. All in all, it was a fantastic showcase thanks to the careful planning and creative vision of CJ Dickson. The event has been featured on Wedding Chicks and Ruffled!

Cocktails, seersucker stripes and good ‘ol southern fun were the name of the game at the Seriously Seersucker party for O’More College of Design, held at their historic Abbey Leix Mansion. Southern Events had the pleasure of providing rentals for this event in September, which benefits the college’s scholarship fund. Our Vienna White Leather Couch and Chairs made a chic lounge while guests of the patron party to enjoy a delicious bite (served on our White Square China) and a shot of Battlefield Bourbon (in our Sterling Shot Glasses).  Later a yummy dinner was served and more cocktails enjoyed prompting everyone to dance the night away on our Checkerboard Dance Floor. A fun time had by all!

This sweet shabby chic barn wedding at Lilac Farms featured all of our Vintage Prop Shoppe favorites! Our Eloise Vanity Dresser made a lovely focal point for the ceremony altar, flanked by our vintage Tattered White Columns topped with baby’s breath. Guests gathered in a luxe lounge scene set with our Gwendolyn couch, Prissy Loveseat, Prissy Arm Chair, Pearlie Side Chair, and Leona Coffee Table.

At the reception, happy couple Ashleigh + Drew dined in our Provence Cathedral Chairs at our Fruitwood Farm Table, while guests gathered around tables draped in our Ice Pink Poly Linens, Belmont Chargers, and Bradley Flatware. The sweet dessert display from Dulce Desserts featured four of our vintage tables: our Olga Farm Table, Gabby Farm Table, Polly Side Table, and Tasker Writing Desk.

In August Southern Events had the pleasure of contributing to the 16th Annual Jokers & Jackpots Gala, a fundraiser to benefit BRIDGES, the only domestic violence shelter in Williamson County. For a good cause and a lot of fun, we decked out the gala in a Roaring 20’s theme this year.  This is a great theme for a fundraiser, creating an upscale look that guests can participate in by dressing the part.
