Nfocus Magazine’s annual Alfresco is a lovely event benefitting a great cause, and Southern Events was happy to provide rentals for the soiree. Held at the Westhaven Resident’s Club in Franklin, Alfresco was an unforgettable evening of Southern dining, whiskey and wine pairings, and live music. The annual event benefits Franklin 4 the Cure, which promotes lifelong learning, leadership, preservation, philanthropy and environmental awareness within Westhaven and the greater Franklin community. The delicious cuisine was provided by The Food Company. Guests dined at our Fruitwood Farm Tables, set with our Austin Gold Flatware and Artisan China. Refreshing cocktails were served in our Recycled Wine Bottle Glassware Collection. All the details came together for a beautiful evening!
We’ve gathered opulent, elegant details that would be perfect for a corporate conference, awards ceremony, gala, or fundraiser. Gold details, from the china to the linen patterns and flatware, will add opulence and warmth to any drab conference center or neutral space. Our Fruitwood Bistro Tables are a unique alternative to the standard bistro or cocktail table, with a natural surface that keeps the overall event design fresh and on-trend. Add our Casablanca Lanterns and a few florals, and the scene is set for an elegant evening!

This outdoor wedding at The Farm on Eastland featured a relaxed, casual reception style. We loved this couple’s style and their clever use of our more eclectic props to design and organize their wedding. Cafe poly tablecloths paired with wedgewood blue poly napkins created a soft summer color palate. A mix of our decorative lanterns lined the tablescape, decorated the ceremony altar, and even served as a sweet card holder at the greeting table. Our Moby Chalkboard door pointed guests toward the reception, while our Sawyer chalkboard displayed the menu and our Lecture Chalkboard marked the dessert display. They even staged a fun play area for their younger guests using our Kid’s Farm Table and Crossback Chairs, and our Artie Easel for the kiddos to draw with. Our vintage Galvanized Trough held refreshments for guests. All the details came together for a fun, relaxing celebration for Amanda and Brian! Introducing our newest china collections in stock: Hamlet & Ophelia! They feature opulent gold-rimmed patterns in two different styles. They look lovely on their own, but the two collections also coordinate well when mixed with each other, as well as our other china collections. Our Abbey Fine Silver Flatware and Austin Gold Flatware would pair beautifully with them, as well. Each collection includes dinner plates, salad/dessert plates, coffee cups and saucers. Contact our team at info@southerneventsonline.com to reserve your favorite pattern for your next event!

Finally! We’re so excited to share a full recap of our gorgeous Urban Desert styled shoot at Acme Feed & Seed. In case you missed our Inspiration Board post last week, this shoot was inspired by the southwest. We mixed some of our most popular pieces (like our Fruitwood Farm Tables and Crossback Chairs) with some hidden gems in our Vintage Prop Shoppe (like our Marrakesh Screen, Sylvia Buffet Table, Ramona Couch, and Marjorie Vintage Coffee Table), for an eclectic, urban style.
The styled shoot featured four setups: a lounge, ceremony, reception, and dessert display. The lounge matched patterned textiles and vintage furniture with more bold florals. For the tablescape we arranged the Fruitwood Farm Tables in a chevron pattern, with lace runners layered beneath the place settings. Deep turquoise napkins and stacks of vintage books added a pops of color. We worked with a team of talented vendors, including Bright Event Productions, Enchanted Florist, Designs in Paper and Dulce Desserts. Castilleja Nashville (located in Edgehill Village) donated vibrant accessories, like the serape blankets and rugs, to complete the look! It was a true oasis of color and texture.
The styled shoot also turned into a surprise proposal for our model couple, Magen and Lyndi. When we invited them to model for the shoot, Magen asked if she could use the day as an opportunity to pop the question to her girlfriend Lyndi. Through skillful coordination and lots of secret-keeping, the plan was a success! The two got engaged between photo sessions on the Acme rooftop, surrounded by their friends and family. Such a sweet moment! You can see photos of the proposal in our feature on 100 Layer Cake.
Thanks to all our “friendors” who made this styled shoot such a beautiful success, especially Photographix for these gorgeous images.

Last summer, we were thrilled to partner with an AMAZING group of Nashville event professionals on a desert-inspired style shoot with an urban twist. This inspiration board shows our vision for the shoot: a wedding for couples with bold, eclectic style, inspired by the exotic textures and vivid colors of the southwest. We dug into our Vintage Prop Shoppe inventory to find a mix of colorful, vintage pieces to create a unique look, from our antique Ramona Couch to our Marjorie Coffee Table. Stay tuned for the big reveal of the final look and vendors that brought it to life, coming to the blog next week!
Product Details: Ramona Couch, Marjorie Coffee Table, Sadie Chair, Betty Chair, Marrakesh Screen, Lagoon Blue Poly Napkins, Artisan China, Fruitwood Chargers, Lace Runners, Austin Gold Flatware, and Emerald Glass Plates.

This summer style shoot at CJ’s Off the Square featured gorgeous tablescapes, arranged by their talented interns. We contributed several of our best rentals so they could show off their design skills, and we’re so pleased with the results! Ali’s use of our Round Fruitwood Farm Table was a highlight. Our standard Fruitwood Farm Tables are a popular choice; the round style features the same gorgeous fruitwood finish, but the different shape gives this tablescape a fresh look.
Haley’s woodland tablescape was another lovely design, featuring our standard Fruitwood Farm Table and Crossback Chairs. Both Haley and Ali used our Artisan China and Madison Glassware, so it’s interesting to see how the same products can work with two completely different aesthetics, whether your style is upscale and elegant or rustic and woodsy.
Shout-out to our “friendor,” Enchanted Florist, for the gorgeous floral arrangements! And thanks to Jenna Henderson for capturing these beautiful images.

Bailey and Hunter’s wedding, hosted on the beautiful grounds at Belle Meadow Farms, created a classic southern setting for their Big Day. Pieces from our Vintage Prop Shoppe added to the timeless southern style, including our Tasker Writing Desk, which offered guests paper fans to wave away the summer heat. Our Whiskey Barrel Bar & Barnwood Top featured a sweet candy display. Guests dined at our Fruitwood Farm Tables, set with Artisan China and Lace Runners layered over our Ice Blue Poly Linens. You can see more lovely vintage details from the day on Borrowed & Blue.

Our styled shoot at ACME Feed & Seed was a gorgeous success. It was a great example of some smart ways to personalize pieces from our Vintage Prop Shoppe, from the storybooks to the antique Marrakesh Screen.
The Marrakesh Screen looks absolutely gorgeous draped in florals from Enchanted Florist! It works well as a backdrop to the lounge, but it also make a great backdrop for a ceremony altar.
Our storybook from the Vintage Prop Shoppe can add an eclectic pop of color to your tablescape or as an accent in a lounge setting.
This macrame banner was donated to the style shoot by Castelleja Nashville, but it was a unique way to personalize our Franklin bar, which lifts at the top to hang banners or garlands for a personalized touch.
Stay tuned for a full recap of this amazing shoot, coming soon to the blog! Photos by Photographix.
This wedding showcase at Homestead Manor was a southern stunner! Our tablescape took center stage in the event barn, with a Grey Goose Runner, Cerise Kensington Napkins, Cameron Silver Flatware, Artisan China, and Madison Glassware. The gorgeous floral garlands and centerpieces from Enchanted Florist made the look complete! Our Wyatt Cake Stands and White Square Tabletop Lanterns were used for the sweet desert display. Our new Sutton Furniture in Mediterranean Blue was used to create a relaxed yet upscale lounge for guests to enjoy the September evening.
Thanks to our fellow vendors, Enchanted Florist, Bright Event Productions, and Visual Elements, for helping create such a gorgeous event! Many thanks to Jenna Henderson for sharing these images with us.
